Brexit
BREXIT

The UK has voted to leave the European Union in a referendum on 23 June 2016, with a final result of 51.9% to leave vs. 48.1% to remain and a voter turnout of 72%. On 29 March 2017, Prime Minister Theresa May sent the letter triggering Art 50 EU Treaty (Lisbon Treaty) to EU Commission, Donald Tusk. The negotiations to leave will take two years at least.

The BCCG and its members engaged in bilateral business and trade are affected by the results of the vote. On this page, we publish articles by our recently formed BCCG Brexit Expert Groups, on industry and services segments such as: Automotive, Banking/Financial Services, Legal Issues, Energy and Renewables, Professional Services and Taxation, as well as Trade.

In addition, we collect relevant opinions, articles and press releases from the BCCG, our members and British - German media. Please contact us if you like to post news here.
